I am so happy for the colder weather that gives me permission to bring out my Ugg-like boots that I bought three years ago on a whim going through Marshalls.

They are a beautiful shade of blue, real sheepskin made by another Austrian company called EMU. I adore them and simply can’t give them up. It’s like wearing slippers all of the time. After the first season, I searched high and low for another discounted pair and finally found a pair of green ones by Bear Paw, but I haven’t been able to use them. I simply can’t let go of the original ones.

In my fiberarts class on Wednesday, a student was discussing her final project and wanted to know if I had ever made boots. Like me, she has a pair she adores and was wearing at the time. I told her I never considered it, but if she’s wiling to experiment, she has my support.

We’ll see how it all develops and who knows, maybe I’ll end up spending the money to obtain another pair of the perfect boots.
