During this past year, the remnants from all of my commissions have piled up to such an extent that I am currently very distracted by the compulsion to make them into something functional. There is so much, it’s hard to know where to begin.
Every winter I have an Amish woman who loves the employment of quilting my patchwork tops and so that seems the way to get this mess under control.
It’s a process: Making a survey of what there is- deciding on a purpose and/or a recipient- identifying a pattern and a size- selecting the type of materials- color selection- measuring and cutting- construction- establishing a backing- putting all together and shipping it.
Did I leave anything out?
