In this digital age, print catalogs waste a lot of paper, but companies continue to use them as a basic marketing tool because they work. Over 12.5 billion catalogs were mailed last year resulting in more than 89.6 million purchases totaling an average of $850 a year per family.

Customers who receive them have a higher purchase intent and make larger resulting order. The newest innovation is to make catalogs more of an experience, like a fashion magazine.
