The Real People of The Passion

The thing that impressed me the most watching The Passion last night was not the set, or the singing, or the dramatization, or the stars. It was the audience. The show was billed as live, but in fact, most of the songs were very unimpressive prerecorded videos. However, when the live camera focused on the individual faces of the audience standing in front of the stage in New Orleans I felt something- real people, expressive faces, focused eyes, and honest emotion made it a success.
