Twenty-five years ago, I did the biggest commission on my career: 19 Quilts for Woodside Place; part of Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont. The purpose of the quilts was to guide Alzheimer’s residents through different areas of the building and particularly to their residential rooms. There were three wings one represented by blue stars, another by green trees and the third by red houses.
Here I am working to update all of the quilts in celebration of their 25th anniversary- this time with 13 new quilts. And how about this- I learned that my identification themes are now used in 75 care facilities around the country. Maybe you know of one?
