What a disheartening day I had yesterday. The New York Times greeted me with continuing stories of Trump’s bigotry and his fight of the day with Elizabeth Warren. Driving in the car, I listening to The Diane Rehm’s Show discussing the decriminalizing of prostitution. Working, I heard the podcast Heart telling Mariya Karimjee’s personal story of clitoris removal. In the evening I watched Spotlight, the story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the truth of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese.
There is so much horror permeating the world today; it seems and it is overwhelming. But the truth is out there- we must continue to stand up, work, defend those who are not in the position to do it themselves. Their lives and ours depend on it.
