Every year since 1990, after an exhaustive process, the Pantone Color Institute has announced its pick for the Color of the Year: Marsala, a naturally robust and earthy reddish-brown hue that promises to enrich our minds, bodies and souls.
Marsala represents the growing movement to step out and create quiet zones that disconnect us from technology and help us unwind, giving ourselves a soothing escape from the everyday hustle and bustle and instead time to stop and be still.

Pittsburgh-based fiber artist, Louise Silk, creates art that combines aesthetics and functionality with meaning and memories.
